Process and Standards

Cutting or hand-picking mature quinoa seed heads at when they’re completely ripe.

Seed cleaning

Removing dirt, sticks, and immature seeds using screens and air currents.

Dehulling

Abrasively removing the bitter-tasting outer shell from the Quinoa grain.

Grading Sorting

Sorting out quinoa grains by size with sieves for consistent cooking.

Color sorting

Using optical technology to remove off-colored or foreign material from the set.

Packaging

Bagging the cleaned and sorted quinoa for safe storage and transportation.
